At Seasaria, we understand that plans can change. This Refund Policy outlines our cancellation and refund procedures for yacht rental services. Our policy is designed to be fair to both our customers and our business operations, complying with Google Ads requirements and Canadian consumer protection laws.
2. Cancellation Timeline and Refunds
2.1 Standard Cancellation Policy
2.2 Processing Fee
A 10% processing fee applies to cancellations made more than 30 days in advance to cover administrative costs, payment processing fees, and lost booking opportunities.
3. Weather-Related Cancellations
3.1 Unsafe Weather Conditions
If our captain determines that weather conditions are unsafe for sailing, you have the following options:
- Full refund of all payments
- Reschedule to another available date at no additional cost
- Credit toward a future charter (valid for 12 months)
3.2 Weather Decision Authority
Weather-related cancellation decisions are made solely by our licensed captain based on safety considerations. These decisions are final and made in the best interest of passenger safety.
4. Rebooking Options
4.1 Date Changes
If you need to change your charter date:
- Changes made more than 14 days in advance: No additional fee
- Changes made 7-14 days in advance: $100 rebooking fee
- Changes made less than 7 days in advance: Subject to availability and may incur cancellation fees
4.2 Service Modifications
Changes to service level (yacht type, duration, guest count) are subject to availability and price differences may apply.
5. No-Show Policy
If you fail to appear for your scheduled charter without prior notification:
- No refund will be provided
- Full payment is forfeited
- No rebooking options available
We recommend contacting us immediately if you're running late or experiencing difficulties reaching our marina.
6. Cancellation by Seasaria
6.1 Mechanical Issues
In the rare event that we must cancel due to vessel mechanical issues:
- Full refund of all payments
- Alternative vessel if available
- Priority rebooking when vessel is repaired
6.2 Emergency Situations
Cancellations due to emergencies, port closures, or government restrictions will result in full refunds or rebooking options.
7. Partial Service Refunds
7.1 Shortened Charters
If your charter is shortened due to circumstances beyond our control (weather, mechanical issues), refunds will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for unused time.
7.2 Service Interruptions
If services are interrupted due to passenger behavior or safety concerns, no refund will be provided.
8. Special Circumstances
8.1 Medical Emergencies
In case of medical emergencies preventing charter participation:
- Medical documentation may be required
- Full refund or rebooking options available
- We recommend travel insurance for additional protection
8.2 Force Majeure Events
Events beyond our control (natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.) may result in full refunds or rebooking options.
9. Refund Processing
9.1 Processing Time
- Credit card refunds: 5-10 business days
- Bank transfer refunds: 3-5 business days
- Refunds processed to original payment method
9.2 Refund Notification
You will receive email confirmation when your refund has been processed, including the expected timeline for funds to appear in your account.
10. Deposit Policy
Deposits are required to secure bookings and are subject to the same refund terms as outlined above. Deposits are credited toward your final charter payment.
11. Travel Insurance Recommendation
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unexpected circumstances that may affect your charter plans, including:
- Medical emergencies
- Travel delays
- Personal emergencies
- Trip interruption coverage
12. Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with a refund decision, please contact our customer service team. We aim to resolve all disputes fairly and promptly. As a last resort, disputes may be subject to binding arbitration under British Columbia law.
13. Google Ads Compliance
This refund policy complies with Google Ads requirements by providing clear, honest terms without misleading language. We do not make unrealistic promises about refunds or cancellations.
